I anticipate our classes with gratitude and appreciation for what's to come which is never the same from one class to the next. Classes are challenging, restorative, instructional, and fun. Laughter is often in abundance, and I feel physically and emotionally balanced afterwards. As a teacher, Michaela has a deep and profound knowledge of the body, its structural makeup, and its complex mechanical operations. Since working with her, I have become fascinated by the vast capacity of the human body to support and strengthen optimum health. It's never a dull moment! I had the pleasure of taking her class in Saratoga a couple of years ago and was so impressed that I immediately signed up to receive emails through her website. A real silver lining of the pandemic has been the ability to practice with Michaela from my home in Washington, DC. As a fellow yoga teacher, I find Michaela's classes inspiring and nourishing, and so very thoughtfully constructed. I love her presence as a teacher and her expert sequencing. Her knowledge is so deep and I appreciate the ways she incorporates functional movement, myofascial release, and mindful vinyasa flow. For me, it's a perfect recipe every time. The freshness of her approach combined with her clear instruction and close observation of students makes each class fun, innovative, and challenging. Strong and steady flow is exactly what it sounds like. Slowing down feels amazing on multiple levels (don't underestimate the impact of actively practicing relaxation) and it's more demanding physically than you might think. I find Michaela's classes so valuable that I have blocked out the time in my calendar.
