Osteovitality: In Person Specialized Strength Training & Yoga for Osteoporosis Group Classes
Join Michaela Smith, yoga instructor and personal trainer and Dr. Sarah Avery, physical therapist and yoga instructor for a unique program geared to address osteoporosis through improved bone density, balance and posture all in a supportive, small group setting.
The program meets twice weekly and includes both weight lifting and yoga in each class. The groups are intentionally kept small to offer more one-on-one attention. Strength training techniques are carefully chosen and proven to be effective at building bone density, addressing posture and improving balance for a well rounded program. On top of that you receive resources and tools to use at home to stay consistent and to maximize your progress.
The program is 12 weeks total, broken into three phases of four weeks each. Research shows that training twice a week for 12 weeks is the time needed to show improvement in strength. Each phase slowly progresses you to feeling more confident and independent while still having plenty of guidance and support. After your first 12 weeks you can continue with a monthly membership.
Includes: weight vest, mini band, youtube playlists for home exercise, 12 weeks of the program + option to continue on → during classes you get 1:1 attention from your coaches as they lead your through intentionally designed strength and yoga programs plus the support and community of being in a group of peers

Strength Training & Yoga for Osteoporosis Virtual Program
A safe, researched backed, fully interactive and supportive program designed & lead by a Physical Therapist and NASM Certified Personal Trainer. A virtual version of our in person program designed to be done at home. This program is delivered digitally with pre-recorded workouts that can be done as it fits into each person's schedule. We offer fully interactive coaching with coaches specializing in osteoporosis to help with form, choosing appropriate weights and keeping you on track. We also offer meetings over zoom to create community and offer additional support. After the initial 13 week program you have the choice to transition into a maintenance program.
Includes: Access to the 13 week program which includes 1 intro week to learn form in key movements followed by a progressive 12 week program, the 12 week program delivered via the platform TrueCoach, is led by a coach who specializes in osteoporosis and allows for communication between the program participants and the coach to make it a fully interactive and supportive experience despite being delivered digitally, it also includes four 1-hour long zoom meetings plus three 30-minute office hours sessions for additional support
